Chancel Choir

The Chancel Choir director is Rev. Anne Cronic, and the accompanist is Carolyn Sale.

The choir is comprised of volunteer members who faithfully rehearse, fellowship, and minister in the 10:55 a.m. service. Chancel Choir members serve as soloists for the 8:45 a.m. Sunday service.Ensembles from the Chancel Choir rehearse and serve for special worship occasions.

Anthem and instrumental literature is diverse, incorporating traditional hymns, classical selections, gospel song arrangements, and newly composed songs.

The Chancel Choir offers special music during the Easter and Christmas seasons. The Festival of Lessons and Carols on Christmas Eve is a very special service of music and scripture, a long-standing tradition at Central Baptist Church.

Preschool Choir

The Preschool Choir director is Michelle Freeman, and her assistants are Tonya Gray, Jill Green, and Ann Jones. The choir is comprised of children ages 3-Kindergarten. Choir time is full of musical learning activities, movement, playing instruments and singing. Rehearsal time: Wednesdays, 5:30-6:15 p.m. in the Preschool Sunday School room.

Music Makers Choir

The Music Makers Choir director is Ruth Hallman, and her assistants are Katheryn Duenckel and Gayle Jones. Music Makers learn about hymns, scripture, and musical symbols. The play Orff and rhythm instruments. Reahearsal time: Wednesdays, 5:30-6:15 p.m. in the Chapel.

Young Musicians Choir

The Young Musicians Choir director is Anne Cronic and her assistants are Carolyn Sale and Lana Christenberry. Young Musicians rehearse anthem literature, develop musical skills through activities and playing instruments, and they participate in worship frequently. Rehearsal time: Wednesdays, 5:30-6:15 p.m. in the Music Room.

Youth Choir

The Youth Choir director is Anne Cronic. The choir is open to youth grades 6-12. The Youth Choir rehearses anthem literature as well as contemporary favorites. They sing and lead in worship quarterly and enjoy singing in their own youth-led services once a month. Rehearsal time: Sundays, 5:00-6:30 p.m. (incorporated in Youth Activity Time), meeting in the Music Room.

Handbell Choir

The Handbell Choir director is Anne Cronic. The choir is comprised of those ranging from high school to adult. The choir rehearses and performs repertoire coordinating with the church year. Rehearsal time: Sundays: 7:30-8:30 p.m. in the Music Room.
